Since 1897, Oak Park Cemetery has provided a serene and beautiful resting place for residents of the Pomona Valley. Oak Park offers a quaint and peaceful environment rarely found among modern cemeteries, featuring tended lawns and mature oak and sycamore groves.

Oak Park Cemetery is the guardian of the memories of all those resting within its borders. Many prominent founders of the Claremont community have chosen Oak Park as their resting place, including Eleanor Condit, L.N. Smith, William and Caroline Honnold, Thomas Barrows, Lee Pitzer, and George G. Hitchcock.

Flowers and Memorials

The overall appearance of the cemetery grounds is very important. Flowers and decorations placed at gravesites, when properly located and maintained, can accent the park-like setting. Our groundskeepers will ensure that your offerings of affection are left in place as long as you maintain them and keep them attractive.

Refer to our Oak Park Cemetery Grave Decoration Policy(PDF, 377KB) for more information.

Memorial markers and monuments are a way of expressing a unique and lasting tribute to your loved ones. Oak Park Cemetery holds the distinction of being one of only a few cemeteries that still accepts a wide variety of memorial markers, including above-ground monuments. Please contact our helpful staff about sizes and installation.
