Class Scholarships

The City of Claremont's Human Services department offers scholarships to eligible participants under seventeen years of age, living in the City of Claremont or attending a school within the Claremont Unified School District (CUSD) for a variety of recreational classes and camps. Scholarship recipients receive a 50% discount off of class/camp fees (up to a maximum of $480 per year, per child). The Youth Scholarship Program is effective July 1 through June 30 and applicants must reapply annually in April.

Eligibility

Those interested in applying for the Youth Scholarship Program must meet two prerequisites. Applicants under seventeen (17) years of age must:

  • Live in or Attend School in the City of Claremont; AND
  • Meet the Low-Income Criteria Set Forth by HUD
