The Los Angeles County Coordinated Entry System

(CES) streamlines the process of finding housing for those who are homeless. In 2014, Union Station Homeless Services was selected by the United Way of Greater Los Angeles as a Lead Agency to manage the efforts of more than 40 social services agencies throughout the San Gabriel Valley. These services include street outreach, housing navigation and care coordination; help people experiencing chronic homelessness locate and collect their documents, find permanent homes, and stay housed for good. As part of this effort, the Volunteers of America (VOA) Pomona location has been assigned as the City of Claremont’s subcontractor to this Coordinated Entry System. 100 crisis beds-Volunteers of America, 28 mental health beds-Tri-City Mental Health, and 110 cots for winter shelter December 1-March 31. This 24-hour shelter offers wrap around services for single adults.

(909) 920-0453 • Office Hours: Tuesday through Friday 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM • The program provides transitional shelter for single and two-parent families with children. Children 18 and younger are accepted. The program also serves individuals and pregnant women who have children. It is not an emergency shelter. The maximum length of stay is 120 days; residents cannot return to the program after their stay.

Food security program, healthy living programs. and housing programs. o single men allowed. The House Family Residential shelter serves children and their parents, as well as single women. The program offers 90 days of room and board, case management, psychosocial counseling, emergency childcare, transportation passes, job search, and housing search assistance.
