Housing Rehabilitation Program

Proper maintenance and upkeep are important to protect property values; however, some homeowners cannot afford to make the necessary improvements. For residents who need financial help, the City offers a Housing Rehabilitation Program.

Qualifications

Claremont homeowners who:

• Hold the title to the single-family property
• Reside at the property
• Meet the low income guidelines

Remodeling work of any nature is prohibited under the HRP. This program funds City approved rehabilitation-type repairs.

Housing Rehabilitation Loan
Deferred housing loans with 0% interest to:

• Correct code violations
• Improve access for the disabled
• Perform other qualified repairs

Energy Efficiency improvement Grant

• Improve energy efficiency of the home
