Housing Rehabilitation Program
Proper maintenance and upkeep are important to protect property values; however, some homeowners cannot afford to make the necessary improvements. For residents who need financial help, the City offers a Housing Rehabilitation Program.
Qualifications
Claremont homeowners who:
- Hold the title to the single-family property
- Reside at the property
- Meet the low income guidelines
Remodeling work of any nature is prohibited under the HRP. This program funds City approved rehabilitation-type repairs.
Program Elements
Housing Rehabilitation Loan
Deferred housing loans with 0% interest to:
- Correct code violations
- Improve access for the disabled
- Perform other qualified repairs
Energy Efficiency improvement Grant
- Improve energy efficiency of the home
