Jail

Claremont Jail The Department operates its own Type-1 jail facility with a staff of five full-time Jailers. Like other Municipal Police Departments in Los Angeles County, each utilizes a Type-1 jail to book and hold persons arrested for crimes for a period of up to 96 hours before they are arraigned in court and then turned over to the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department. The jail houses up to 18 inmates who are monitored, cared for and fed by the jail staff who work 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

Jail Visiting Hours

  • Monday through Friday from 3pm – 6 pm
  • Saturday from 9am -11am and 3pm – 6pm
  • Closed on Sunday
