Street Sweeping

Street Sweeping Schedule(PDF, 5MB)

Street sweeping schedules may be adjusted during holiday weeks. For more information, please contact the Community Services Department at (909) 399-5431.

The Importance of Street Sweeping

Street sweeping helps remove debris from the gutter and roadsides that would otherwise go into storm drains, causing water pollution. This is just one of the many preventative measures that can help reduce water pollution. Residents can also help by not over-watering their yards. Over-watering washes pollutants such as yard clippings, pesticides, fertilizers, and motor oil into the street and into storm drains. Please note that purposely washing any type of debris into the street is not only discouraged, but against the law. Residents are encouraged to dispose of all yard waste in City-provided green waste containers.

We Need Your Help

We want to make sure your street is regularly swept, which means we need your assistance. On your street sweeping days, please be sure the street in front of your home is free of any vehicles or other obstacles that would prevent the sweeper from cleaning the curbs.

Trees that are too low or vegetation that is overgrown may also prevent a street sweeper from properly cleaning your street and should be trimmed, if privately owned. To report City-owned trees that are too low or for more information about the Street Sweeping Program, call (909) 399-5431.

Note: When the legend in the Street Sweeping schedule states that an area is swept on "1/3 Friday" or "2/4 Friday," it means the 1st and 3rd Friday of the month or the 2nd and 4th Friday of the month, and so on.
