The purpose of the Parks, Hillsides, and Utilities Committee is to evaluate issues under the purview of the Community and Human Services Commission relating to urban parks, open space, and public utilities, and to provide a recommendation to the Commission for further consideration. The Parks, Hillsides, and Utilities Committee is responsible for the oversight of open space, including preservation and use; oversight of urban parks, City buildings, and public facilities, including new development; and is responsible for the oversight of utility issues, including water, electricity, gas, sewer, and refuse. Meetings are open to the public for in-person attendance.
