Public Hearing Notices

The City of Claremont notices businesses and residents on proposed developments, appeals, and community projects. Each notice contains details of the project as well as information on the public comment process. The City is legally required to notice properties within 300 feet; however, the City may increase the area of notice if the impact of a project will extend beyond the standard notice radius.

Architectural and Preservation Commission Review - New Monoeucalyptus Wireless Facility 

The Architectural and Preservation Commission will review the proposed 62-foot-tall monoeucalyptus wireless telecommunication facility at the above-referenced property, owned and occupied by the Good Shepherd Evangelical Lutheran Church of Claremont. The meeting will be held on Wednesday, May 28, 2025, at 7:00 PM in the City Council Chamber, located at 225 West Second Street.

Architectural and Preservation Commission Review - Proposed Sign Program  

The Architectural and Preservation Commission will review a proposed sign program for the commercial center located at 985 and 987 West Foothill Boulevard. The meeting will be held on Wednesday, May 28, 2025, at 7:00 PM in the City Council Chamber, located at 225 West Second Street.

Architectural and Preservation Commission Review - Solar Panel on Shade Canopies at Claremont Colleges

The Architectural and Preservation Commission will review the proposed Claremont Colleges Services (TCCS) Solar Energy Project which includes a large array of solar panel shade structures over the parking lots of the Claremont Colleges Services Building – immediately south of East First Street and west of South Claremont Boulevard. The meeting will be held on Wednesday, May 28, 2025, at 7:00 PM in the City Council Chamber, located at 225 West Second Street.

City Ventures (70-Unit Townhome Development) - City Council Review

The City Council will review a Tentative Tract Map for a 70-unit townhome development at 840 South Indian Hill Boulevard – located on the area currently occupied by the tennis club portion of the Motel 6 Property, northeast of the intersection of Indian Hill Boulevard and American Avenue (File TTM #84564). This meeting will be held on Tuesday, May 27, 2025, at 6:30 PM in City Council Chamber, located at 225 West Second Street.

Planning Commission Review - Patio Cover (2743 San Angelo Drive)

The Planning Commission will hold a hearing to review a proposed request for a Variance for side yard setback reduction to legalize an unpermitted patio cover that was built without meeting the required side yard setback in the rear yard of an existing single-family home at 2743 San Angelo Drive, within the RS 20,000 zone in the Claraboya neighborhood. Reduced yard setbacks may be permitted in the RS 20,000 zone with approval of a Variance, provided that all justifications specified in Municipal Code Section 16.309.010 can be made. The meeting will be held on Tuesday, May 20, 2025, at 7:00 PM in the City Council Chamber, located at 225 West Second Street.
