The Lewis Park Playground renovation project is scheduled to begin on Wednesday, January 22. Park visitors will not have access to the playground during construction. The project is expected to take five weeks. All construction activities should be occurring within the closure, however, at different time throughout the project it may be necessary for delivery of equipment. Please be careful around the project and neighborhood.
The Lewis Park Playground renovation project was approved by the City Council on October 8. Staff worked with KOMPAN to design a new, innovative play structure based on community input. Lewis Park will have two distinct play areas: one for ages 2–5 and one for ages 5–12. Each play area with have exciting play structures that meets current safety and ADA standards and are inclusive for all children.
